Fair Use Policy

ViralSlice is a tool for creators to repurpose their own content. This policy outlines what content you may and may not upload for processing.
1. Acceptable use
✓ Allowed
- ✓Original content you own the copyright to (your own videos, recordings, podcasts, vlogs)
- ✓Content you have a valid license to repurpose (e.g., licensed stock footage, client work with written permission)
- ✓Public domain content that has been clearly released from copyright
- ✓Content for which you have explicit written consent from the original creator
- ✓Your own live stream recordings, webinars, or course content
✗ Not allowed
- ✗Movies, TV shows, music videos, or any commercially distributed media you do not own
- ✗Other creators' videos downloaded from YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, or similar platforms without their consent
- ✗News broadcasts, sports events, or live event recordings owned by broadcasters
- ✗Content that contains child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — violations are reported to authorities immediately
- ✗Content designed to harass, defame, or incite violence against any individual or group
- ✗Deepfakes or AI-generated content misrepresenting real people
2. Copyright and ownership
By uploading content to ViralSlice, you represent and warrant that:
• You are the owner of the uploaded content, or have a valid license or permission to use and repurpose it
• The content does not infringe any third-party copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property right
• You have obtained any necessary releases from individuals who appear in the content
ViralSlice does not review content before processing. You are solely responsible for ensuring your uploads comply with applicable copyright laws and the terms of any platform from which you downloaded content.
3. AI processing and output
ViralSlice uses OpenAI's Whisper model for transcription and a proprietary scoring model for virality assessment. The clips generated are derivative works created from your original upload.
You retain full ownership of:
• Your original uploaded video
• All clips, transcriptions, and virality scores generated from your content
ViralSlice retains a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content for the sole purpose of providing the service to you. We do not publish, redistribute, or monetize your content.
4. Platform re-upload restrictions
Different platforms have their own terms regarding repurposed content. It is your responsibility to ensure that clips you generate comply with the destination platform's community guidelines and terms of service before uploading.
ViralSlice is not responsible for content takedowns, strikes, or account suspensions on third-party platforms caused by content you upload after processing.
5. Enforcement
We reserve the right to:
• Suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly upload infringing content
• Remove content that we become aware violates this policy or applicable law
• Cooperate with rights holders and law enforcement in the event of infringement claims
• Report illegal content (including CSAM) to the appropriate authorities
DMCA / Copyright takedown requests can be sent to: legal@viralslice.com with the subject line "Copyright Claim". Include your contact information, a description of the copyrighted work, and the URL or job ID of the infringing content.
6. Limitation of liability
ViralSlice acts as a service provider and is not liable for copyright infringement committed by users. We comply with safe harbor provisions under applicable law, including the E-Commerce Act of the Philippines (RA 8792), when we act promptly upon receiving valid takedown notices.
You agree to indemnify and hold ViralSlice harmless from any claims, damages, or legal fees arising from your violation of this Fair Use Policy.
7. Changes
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in applicable law, platform capabilities, or our practices. Material changes will be communicated via the dashboard or email at least 7 days before taking effect.
