Cookie Policy

Last updated: April 1, 2026

ViralSlice uses only essential cookies to keep you signed in and the platform secure. We do not track you across the web or show you ads.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website you visit. They are widely used to make websites work correctly, remember your preferences, and provide usage analytics to site owners. Cookies cannot run programs or carry viruses. They are uniquely assigned to you and can only be read by the web server that issued them.

2. How ViralSlice uses cookies

ViralSlice uses cookies strictly for the purposes of authentication, security, and basic functionality. We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or cross-site tracking technologies.

3. Types of cookies we use

Session cookies (required) These cookies are essential for you to log in and stay logged in. They are created by NextAuth.js when you authenticate with Google. They expire when you close your browser or sign out. • next-auth.session-token — stores your encrypted session • next-auth.csrf-token — protects against CSRF attacks • next-auth.callback-url — remembers where to redirect after login These cookies cannot be disabled if you wish to use the authenticated features of ViralSlice. Preference cookies (functional) These store lightweight UI preferences (e.g., sidebar collapsed state). They have no expiry date and remain until you clear your browser storage. No analytics or advertising cookies We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other third-party tracking cookies on ViralSlice. Any analytics we collect are server-side and anonymized.

4. Third-party cookies

Some embedded content or payment redirects (e.g., PayMongo checkout) may set their own cookies when you visit their pages. These are governed by PayMongo's own Cookie Policy and are outside our control. We do not allow third-party advertising networks to place cookies on ViralSlice pages.

5. Managing cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to: • View cookies that have been set • Block cookies from specific websites • Block all cookies (note: this will break login on ViralSlice) • Delete cookies when you close the browser For guidance on how to manage cookies in your browser: • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions Deleting the NextAuth session cookie will log you out of ViralSlice.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as our technology or legal requirements change. Updates will be posted here with a revised "Last updated" date. For significant changes, we will also notify you via the dashboard or email.
